The area originally known as Dougherty's Station, Dublin was incorporated in 1982 with a population of 14,300. Today there are 47,000 residents. The city is located at the crossroads of the Tri-Valley, just north of I-580. Dublin, like the other areas of the Tri-Valley, has seen tremendous growth in the last 25 years.
Major Dublin employers include: Hexel, PacBell, Franklin Resources, Sybase, MicroDental Labs and Save Mart.
